A well executed charcoal and coloured chalk on board, of a reclining nude by Michael D‘Aguilar (1924-2011). Signed bottom right, circa: 1980's.
Born in 1924 in London of Spanish parentage, Michael D‘Aguilar spent much of his early life in Spain. He studied at The Royal Academy Schools from 1949 to 1954, winning a variety of awards, including the Leverhulme Scholarship. He was a winner of the Royal Drawing Society’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, and the Armitage and Silver Medal at the Royal Academy.
Presented in an early 20th century ebonised frame. Ready to hang.
