Vintage CC41 Utility Oak Side Table c.1940s WWII

Regular price £175.00

A British CC41 Utility side table, dating from the 1940's, produced under the government’s Utility Furniture Scheme, an initiative introduced during World War II to address severe timber shortages and the high demand for furniture, particularly for those whose homes were destroyed by bombing.

Crafted from oak, this piece embodies the honest, functional design of wartime Britain. The table features a square top with a subtly raised edge, straight legs, and a practical lower shelf, typical of the restrained and efficient construction required during the period.

The underside retains its original CC41 stamp, confirming its authenticity as officially regulated wartime production.

Dimensions (approx.):

  • Overall: W: 50 x D: 50 x H: 66 cm
  • Lower shelf: W: 50 x D: 26 cm
