Wooden Cigar Store Indian Advertising Statue / Trade Sign

A cigar store Indian advertisement figure, in the form of a Native American, used as signage outside tobacconists. American Indians introduced tobacco to Europeans in the early 17th century.  European tobacconists then used figures of American Indians outside the front of their stores to advertise their products.

Weathered all round with losses, however structurally sound. Mounted on a removable metal stand to support the carving.
